DIRECTIONS FOR CREATING AN ACCOUNT AND APPLYING FOR BOARD MEMBERSHIP, MEMBERSHIP AND/OR COUNSELOR DIRECTORIES

 

If you have just completed one of the application forms it may take a few days to process the form.  If you haven't filled out a form please consider joining our organization

CRITERIA, REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS:

MEMBERSHIP

  • FLMBHA BOARD MEMBERS: Behavioral health professionals that have extensive experience/knowledge serving the Military population. Members make decisions on behalf of the Alliance.
    • Must meet one of the following four criteria.
      1. Military Veteran
      2. Active Service Member.
      3. Current Military dependents.
      4. Currently working for a credible organization that serves a large number of Military and/or Veterans  
  • ACTIVE FLMBHA MEMBERS: Behavioral health professionals who attend the monthly meetings and can be spokespeople for the Alliance. They may also assist with tasks.
    • Must meet one of the following three criteria.
      1. Military Veteran 
      2. Active Service Member.
      3. Current Military dependents.Currently working for a credible organization that serves a large number of Military and/or Veterans

Exceptions will be made for board members and active participants on an individual basis if membership criteria are not met. The board reserves the right to exclude anyone at any time at their discretion. 

COUNSELORS

Counselor benefits: For Licensed Counselors  

A potential benefit to being listed on the Florida Military Behavioral Health Alliance Counselor Directory is increased visibility so that potential clients and/or other behavioral health providers in your area and in the state of Florida can associate you with having taken online Military-specific courses. 

 

Counselor Directory requirement-Must complete the four Center for Deployment Psychology courses and six Citizen Soldier Support Program Courses provided by Army OneSource. These courses are free and CE credits are provided. Link provided below

The board has the right to deny Counselor and or Member applications at their discretion.
